OeBB 2092 (ex HF 130C) - die Verwirrung ist total!
Servus beinand',
Patrick[/url]

A Cobbled Together History:
(Best I can do with material available)
======================================================================
2092.01
Gmeinder 4197 built 1944 for the German Army and installed on the Steyertalbahn during 1945 as HF M 13954
(assumed black livery ?).
At the end of the war, the locomotive was seized by U.S. army, eventually being given to the ÖBB and numbered Köf 13954 (assumed black livery ?).
Allocated to the Bregenzerwaldbahn in 1950, and re-gauged from 750mm to 760mm.
Re-numbered to 2092.01 on 1st April 1954 (dark green livery).
Bodywork re-built circa 1964 (orange livery).
======================================================================
2092.02
Gmeinder 4199 built 1944 for the German Army and installed on the Steyertalbahn during 1945 as HF M 13955
(assumed black livery ?).
At the end of the war, the locomotive was seized by U.S. army, eventually being given to the ÖBB and numbered Köf 13955 (assumed black livery ?).
Allocated to the Pinzgauerbahn and re-gauged from 750mm to 760mm.
Re-numbered to 2092.02 on 1st April 1954 (dark green livery).
Re-liveried circa 1958 (cream over red livery).
Re-bodied 1963 and again re-liveried (orange livery).
======================================================================
2092.101 / 2092.03
Windhoff 756 built 1943 for the German Army and installed on the Steyertalbahn during 1945 as HF M 13985
(assumed black livery ?).
At the end of the war, the locomotive was seized by U.S. army, eventually being given to the ÖBB and numbered Köf 13985 (assumed black livery ?).
Allocated to the Vellachtalbahn and re-gauged from 750mm to 760mm.
Re-numbered to 2092.101 on 1st April 1954 (dark green livery).
April 1962 is the date given for re-building and re-numbering to 2092.03 but keeping original body. (dark red / orange livery).
When the Vellachtalbahn started to wind down operations in 1965, 2092.03 was relocated to the Mariazellerbahn and received the new cab and bodywork (orange livery).
======================================================================
2092.102 / 2092.04
Windhoff 759 built 1943 for the German Army and installed on the Steyertalbahn during 1945 as HF M 13988
(assumed black livery ?).
At the end of the war, the locomotive was seized by U.S. army, eventually being given to the ÖBB and numbered Köf 13988 (assumed black livery ?).
Allocated to the Pinzgauerbahn on 1st February 1947 and re-gauged from 750mm to 760mm.
Re-numbered to 2092.102 on 1st April 1954 (dark green livery).
Re-built, re-numbered and re-bodied to 2092.04 late 1960 (cream over red livery - the only re-bodied example to receive that livery).

Re: OeBB 2092 (ex HF 130C) - die Verwirrung ist total!
Cheers, that's some excellent info right there! References would be the icing on the cake, but I sure am grateful as it is.
Thanks a bunch,
Patrick
You write "1960". I take it that's not typo and isn't meant to be 1960s, but indeed means the calendare year 1960? Do you have any evidence towards the elfenbein/rot paintscheme or even photographs? Any idea when the engine would have been repainted into orange-red livery?Re-built, re-numbered and re-bodied to 2092.04 late 1960 (cream over red livery - the only re-bodied example to receive that livery).
Thanks a bunch,
Patrick

Any idea when the engine would have been repainted into orange-red livery?
Green livery started to be phased out around 1958 and cream over red brought in (narrow gauge).
Orange was brought in around 1960 but the 2095's and 1099's continued with the cream / red.
Pinzgauerbahn painted 2092.02 (unrebuilt) and 2092.04 (rebuilt) in cream / red.

Re: OeBB 2092 (ex HF 130C) - die Verwirrung ist total!
Hi,
Thank you for the clarification! So indeed there is photgraphic evidence for the rebuilt 2092.04 with new cab in two-tone scheme, but there is no solid proof as to when the conversion happened. (Obviously it still isn't indisputably proven if the photographer says 'I took this photo on day such and such', but in the case of your photo, it is labelled 'circa 1960', which is a rather broad statement.) But at least it is fair to say that it must have been early 1960s, as that is when they would have used two-tone liveries.
I don't mean to be rivet counting, I am grateful for your help and the photos. It just means the search goes on.
Thanks again,
Patrick
P.S. Apologies for asking again about plans. I remember now you said you had upscaled some photographs.

Re: OeBB 2092 (ex HF 130C) - die Verwirrung ist total!
This site (https://www.rangierdiesel.de/index.php? ... n=portrait) gives the completion of rebuilding of 2092.04 as 30th May 1960. The Pinzgauerbahn would not have painted it green (livery discontinued), nor would they have painted it first in orange and then overpainted it cream / red.
So, reading between the lines, it does seem conclusive.
Also of note on the re-cabbed cream / red 2092.04 is the original radiator grill which would have been changed on a later modification "possibly" at the same time as receiving orange livery

Re: OeBB 2092 (ex HF 130C) - die Verwirrung ist total!
Excellent! I had overlooked that rangierdiesel.de actually gave an exact date for renumbering, by which time the cab conversion would have been completed. I agree with your rationale on the colour schemes. Overall, that really adds precision to the otherwise somewhat airy-fairy data I had. Now if we could only find out when the re-paint to orange took place.
Thx a bunch,
Patrick

Re: OeBB 2092 (ex HF 130C) - die Verwirrung ist total!
Now if we could only find out when the re-paint to orange took place.
According to the Mariazellerbahn book, the un-rebuilt cream over red 2092.02 came to the Mariazellerbahn 4th quarter of 1961 where it was rebuilt. It was sent back 2nd quarter of 1962 in orange livery and swapped with 2092.04 where .04 was re-painted into orange during 1963.
It was returned to Pinzgaubahn 1st quarter of 1964 with 2092.02 being exchanged back to the Mariazellerbahn at the same time.
When 2092.03 came to the Mariazellerbahn from the Vellachtalbahn in mid 1965 for rebuilding, 2092.02 was moved to the Waldviertalbahn with the Mariazellerbahn keeping 2092 (.03) for most of the rest of its life.
